A wonderful gift to the New Year 2018

A wonderful gift to the New Year 2018 made our Academy students of the Technological Institute of the Food Industry M.V. Lomonosov with them scientific leaders is a victory in the competition “Food Technologies 2018”! The competition was initiated by the Borys Kolesnikov Charity Foundation for students of specialties related to food technologies. His goal is to provide support to creative and purposeful students of specialized universities, to give an expert assessment of their startups and developments, and to stimulate them to develop the food industry in Ukraine.
In the final, students-technologists defended their projects before the expert jury of the contest, which took place on December 20, 2017, on the basis of the National University of Food Technologies. The members of the expert jury were Lyudmila Povalyaeva, director of the meat processing plant of “APK-invest” company Ivan Bashkir, the head of the production department of “Konti “ Tetyana Kurchaeva, the general director of the r company “Artwineer” Ihor Tolkachov.
About 800 works on food technologies from all technological universities of Ukraine were presented to the competition, but only 73 entered the final of the competition. 11 works – from the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies. According to the requirements of the finale, the presentations were prepared in two directions: presentation of one’s self as a leader and presentation of his business project in the field of science. Our best students were trained, together with the scientific executives, 10 presentations to participate in the finals. On December 21, 2017, the winners of the 2018 Food Technologies Contest were awarded a certificate for a trip to the international confectionery exhibition “ISM2018” in Germany, Cologne. The winners were students of the Faculty of Grain and Grain Business: P. Aksenov, Yu. Morgunova, V. Zagorodnya, A. Shulga, K. Savenko, B. Palamarchuk and student of the Faculty of Wine and Tourism business: M. Chernyshova.
Already in January, when visiting the exhibition “ISM 2018”, which will take place on January 29-31 in Germany, in Cologne, students of ONAFT will get acquainted with novelties of the food industry – equipment, goods, innovations.
We sincerely congratulate and await our winners with the new knowledge and experience that they will need to introduce their business startups in the future. We are convinced that the opportunities provided by our Academy will make them successful and implemented in life.
